Hussain's blood lives even today in Karbala — in every voice that rises against every tyrant.
When evening fell over the wilderness of Karbala, smoke rose above every plundered home. Lady Zainab set out on the road of captivity, holding fast to patience at every turn. She said: "Do not break, Sakina — this is the trial; this very lesson is Husayniyyat, keep faith." The tents were plundered, but courage was not; even in captivity the kalima stayed raised. In the court of Damascus a truth resounded — that oppression perished and the word of truth prevailed. This was Karbala's victory, and it endures: Hussain lives on, safe in every heart.

In the field of slaughter, Hussain the renowned was left alone — yet never once let his head bow. In prostration the head of the master of creation was severed; in blood he inscribed the voice of truth upon the dignity of time.
