ننڍڙي اصغرؑ جي اڃ تي رنو آسمان
تير لڳو گلي ۾، ته لڏي وئي جان
پر بابا حسینؑ نه ٿيا حق کان جدا
ڪربلا ۾ بلند رهيو توحيد جو نشان
The sky wept at little Asghar's thirst; an arrow struck his throat and his life departed. Yet father Hussain did not part from the truth — in Karbala the sign of God's oneness stayed raised high.

پھر بھی نہ جھکنے دی کبھی گردن کو ایک بار
سجدے میں کٹ گیا سرِ سالارِ کائناتؑ
لکھ دی لہو سے حق کی صدا، وقت کے وقار
In the field of slaughter, Hussain the renowned was left alone — yet never once let his head bow. In prostration the head of the master of creation was severed; in blood he inscribed the voice of truth upon the dignity of time.
